Your luxury brand is not a commodity.

If your potential client compares your services or programs to another and think “they are pretty much the same, I will get the one with the lower price”, then your offer becomes a commodity in their mind.

If you have a commodity offer, you will compete on price. 

A client who is going to invest 5 or 6 figures to get the results they want are not going to pick up a commodity. 

When you have a luxury brand with an unmatchable value proposition and a premium pricing model, it establishes you as your own category,  which makes it’s too difficult to compare prices. 

You cannot be compared to any other product or service available. You become iconic in your field. You become the “category of one”. 

Pricing isn’t an issue anymore because you’re the only choice for your ideal clients. People want to buy expensive things. They just need a reason.

Anyone can raise their prices, but only a select few can charge these rates and get people to say yes. Anyone can sell a program or service by offering it for a big discount, but it takes luxury branding to sell the same service or program for a premium price.

Of course, you need to deliver the result with your mastery of what you do. Last week we talked about focusing on being the best at what you do, and being the creme de la creme. (Hint: most of the time it’s the things that feel so easy to us). That’s the foundation of a luxury brand. That’s the foundation of charging premium pricing. 

I know you are good at what you do. Believe in yourself. The goal is to sell your high-end packages backed by the value of your offer. Don’t make assumptions about how much your audience will pay. My clients invest 5 figures in my offers and still think they got a great deal because the value of a luxury brand is way beyond 5 figures. 

Charge what your offer is worth. (I am not saying charge what you are worth, because you are so worthy and there’s no price that can measure how brilliant you are.) 

Usually, our limiting beliefs stopped us in the first place. The question I got asked a lot when I am on podcast interviews is that “A lot of my audience would say they worry about raising their prices. What advice would you give to them?”

I see a premium pricing model is not only necessary but also spiritual if you want to build a luxury brand. 

Premium pricing increases your clients’ results because they value your service and are heavily invested. If you want your clients to get results, they must be invested. The more invested they are, the more likely they are to achieve the results they want. If you care about your client’s results, you should get them as invested as possible.

The luxury pricing model also allows you to invest the money to make your services exceptional, provide a luxury experience for your clients and pamper your clients, invest in your growth and build the best team, provide more value…

What limiting beliefs stops you from creating your luxury brand and becoming iconic?

Maybe you are assuming you have to charge the same as everyone else in your niche; maybe you are undercharging your services to “win” more clients, maybe you are making assumptions about how much your audience will pay…

AI is now seen as a big threat to lots of businesses. However, luxury brands may have less to fear from AI than a number of others. 

Luxury is an indulgent human choice, a whim. It is not needed, only desired. The process of creating desire in luxury is complex but it is often idiosyncratic and unique: the reason why one brand is preferred to another in luxury is seldom logical. I believe the AI will make true luxury more sought after. Just like you can buy factory-made bags everywhere, but nothing can replace the craftsmanship and human creativity in a Hermes bag. 

Luxury is measured by how you make people feel. It is the ability to tailor a moment for the ultimate “emotional impact.” It’s not about AI and automation. You need to focus on your heart instead. Luxury is a frequency. 

The quickest and most powerful way to tap into the luxury frequency and become a luxury brand is to change your identity first. 

That is how I changed my business and life. 

Being a female entrepreneur is a beautiful journey. But it is not always easy.  I remember the days I just wanted to curl up, cry and give up. 

You know that feeling when you are trying everything to build your business but nothing seems to work?

You could be doing all the right things, creating opt ins, Facebook ads, setting up funnels, doings webinars…….and reading every personal development book under the sun. I become a sassy CEO building my empire and on the path to amassing great wealth; I prioritise expanding joy and pleasure in my life and business and tap into more confidence and certainty than ever; I call in my desires and feel audacious, powerful, and magical, safe and being taken care of. 

Cream will always rise to the top, a Queen cannot be kept down no matter her circumstance. 

Her confidence is high. Her certainty is high. Her frequency is high. And that is the luxury frequency.

When I am in my power and flow as her, I know what I desire to create; I confidently ask for what I desire; I follow my feminine flow with joy and pleasure and open myself to love and abundance.  And that is what makes a luxury brand.

Beautiful, put your crown on, know exactly who you are, and be unapologetic about it. Don’t even question if you deserve your desires… Because you do. Fully accept your massive worth. Trust that you deserve it all, simply because you are.

The Universe is always communicating with us. Every time we honour our desires by showing up to it, we are quieting our ego and inviting our true self or higher self to show up. New ideas. New inspirations. New perspectives. A new identity - the next level you reveals. A new world opens.

 
 

Here are some journalling exercise for you, if it feels aligned to you:

  • Journal on the woman you desire to be, the brand your desire to build and the life you desire to live. What are her specific emotions? How does she feel on a daily basis?

  • Journal on what you are currently experiencing right now internally and externally. 

  • Notice and observe the difference between the two. Decide to commit to be your highest self.

  • What actions can you do today to allows yourself to align a little bit closer to her?

Your soul desire has a purpose: to guide you towards your highest potential and to leave your legacy.

When we think about ‘Luxury Brands’ the main factor that we mentally gravitate towards, is the sheer exclusivity, the high-end eminence and the high price tag associated with it. 

So what defines Luxury? What makes a luxury brand? 

While some would see the word “luxury” itself as something too 'extravagant' or 'expensive', if you are in my world reading this, I know you define luxury differently. I personally see true luxury as a high frequency and it is a necessity in my brand and life.

Some said luxury is superficial. I discovered that it can be spiritual. Luxury is the freedom to choose. It's another way of the Divine Source expressing beauty in this world. 

Luxury does not have to be something, it can be a feeling, a more expansive way of expressing yourself in the world. 

Being a luxury brand is embodying a higher frequency and high-level transformation yourself and then extending them to your clients. That is my definition of a luxury brand, which I shared in my Luxury Manifesto Masterclass

I believe that elegance, abundance mindset, gratitude, soul desires and embodiment are all integrated within the realms of true luxury and building your luxury personal brand.

As I always say “A luxury brand is not about Dior or Chanel.” At the same time, there is no denying that we can learn a lot from Dior or Chanel and those big-name luxury brands about luxury branding. 

What makes a Birkin bag so desirable?  What is the psychology behind luxury brands? Why are people willing to pay a higher price for these luxury brands compared to similar products or services in the same category? 

 
 

Here are the 5 characteristics of luxury brands that you can apply to your own brand:

  1. A luxury brand is exclusive and usually has natural scarcity

Exclusivity means they are not available to everyone. It makes the clients feel special, unique, accomplished and even rewarded for their success. Because the high-end clients long to differentiate themselves.

I work with my clients to incorporate "exclusivity" into their brand. For example, when you think of a luxury brand, the goods or services are usually handcrafted, expensive to afford, or limited in edition. For those of you who are coaches, you can set the criteria regarding the clients you want to work with, limit the number of clients you work with or limit your 1- on-1 time with clients.

2. A luxury brand has an emotional connection to its clients

Do you know the #1 reason people buy luxury goods? It's not because of the superior design or craftsmanship. It’s the emotional reason. People want to reward themselves and show they “made it”. 

I work with my clients to find the emotional reasons people invest in working with you.  You might be selling a feeling, an experience, or a cause. An emotional connection to the clients distances a luxury brand from mass-market brands. It causes a subconscious response that is beyond our cognitive brain. It makes your high-end clients have a profound connection to your brand and brand story. 

3. A luxury brand portrays quality in design and performs at an experiential level

Timeless swirls, dynamic hues and precise detail. It lives in an environment of detail and performs at an experiential level  - store or website experience is detailed and unique. 

Think of Dior House and their haute couture, the details, the quality, the customised service…

From their designs, to the elegant details they integrate in their collections, the brand always has their high-end clientele coming back for more. Look at your business as a pursuit of excellence in every sense of the word–production, knowledge, customer service. Your high-end clients can tell the difference from the details. 

Your online presence is your haute couture show; your personal branding is that haute couture attire. Does your online presence reflect the luxury icon you are? 

4. A luxury brand has a high perceived value and corresponding pricing

An unusual phenomenon occurs - demand can increase when the price increases. It’s called a Veblen good.  A Veblen good is a type of luxury good for which the demand increases as the price increases, in apparent contradiction of the law of demand. 

People associate price with quality. For example, think about where would you go if you’re shopping by price only? If you’re shopping for style, quality, and service? And if you’re shopping for luxury and prestige? Your mind automatically ranks different brands.

Pricing is an art and I guide my clients to create high-perceived value and pricing that aligns with their brand positioning. You can make your own services or products become more desirable at higher prices.

5. A luxury brand is associated with PR, media, celebrities, and leaders

You don’t have to partner with a celebrity to become a luxury brand, but you do have to consider who you are partnering with, your media appearance, your social media, etc. What do you see when you google yourself or your brand name online?

Also, customer reviews, client case studies and testimonials are one of the most powerful sections on your website to increase your brand credibility and establish yourself as the expert. 

In conclusion

Luxury is a state of elegance. It is something that is considered to be expensive, rare, and highly desirable, meets the highest standards of quality, craftsmanship, and design, and is often associated with status and social prestige. 

Ultimately, the perception of "luxury" hinges on the extent to which a client's connection with a luxury brand evokes feelings of luxury.

I believe the “accident” is because our energy attracts each other. We attracted each other for our iconic co-creation, for a big purpose.

  1. Dare to SHINE YOUR LIGHT

Creating your very own personal brand is all about finding that light inside of yourself and letting it shine, so you can light up the world and inspire others to shine their light just by being who you are.

You started your business because you desire more than a 9-5 job and you know deep in your heart you are called to answer your true calling.  But if you don’t know how to show the world who you truly are through an authentic soul-aligned premium brand, it doesn’t matter how many certificates you have, how much experience you got, or how talented you are at what you do… your gift, your talent, your message, your passion cannot be found and heard.

When it comes to how people perceive you and why they choose to buy from you or work with you, 80% is based on who you are and how you show up in the world. I see lots of new coaches make a costing mistake when they first launch their “brand”: they go to a website or graphic designer before they figure out the foundations and essence of their personal brand. It's a very costly mistake because they end up with a brand that is not them, a website that doesn't resonates with them and a business that doesn't attract clients. They shy away from showing the website and brand to others, cannot book clients, lost confidence in themselves and wonder what's wrong with them.

There’s nothing wrong with you. You just need to step into that authenticity and figure out your personal brand and what makes you unique in a way that resonates with your ideal clients. When you do that, it's like magic that changes everything.

5. See Your Luxury BRAND IN FULL BLOOM

“Live on brand - Be Your Brand In Every Moment & Every Interaction.”

You want to create your personal brand in a way that you can fully model and own, not just today but year after year because you are your brand. You want to live your brand, be your brand in every moment & interaction without feeling like a fraud or putting on a mask that just isn’t you.

You probably already heard the clichéd statements “Be authentic” or “Just be you.” by many personal brand experts. While I do agree that being authentic and being who you are in your personal brand, I believe that in order to allow you to lead and make the impact you want to see in the world, your personal brand is more than “Just be you”.  I believe Personal branding is all about becoming the best version of yourself without changing your core values or the essence of who you are. It’s about working on our light, accentuating and magnifying the best of who you are, stepping into your role as a messenger, and owning the qualities that allow you to shine your light and inspire others.

Be visible, be courageous. Take a stand for what you believe in and live your message. Be visible with yourself and your tribe and create a brand experience that lights up the soul.  

There is nothing more beautiful than going on a personal growth journey to become who you truly are, share your unique talents and message and step into your light for the world to see.

When you are willing to walk the talk, practice what you preach, and model your work in the world, you inspire other people to do the same.

Paradoxically, personal branding is about you but at the same time, it isn’t. The more you put yourself out there, the less it becomes about you. Instead, it’s about what you represent. And those who are willing and ready and will accept the call to adventure that only you can offer.  

It’s then and only then that you can start to create a massive trust and credibility, make a huge impact, a huge income, and really change people’s lives -- not just with what you do but with WHO YOU ARE.
